Since 1992, Motawi Tile Works has hand crafted distinctive ceramics in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Known for rich glazes and uniquely American design, Motawi draws inspiration from nature, Prairie School architecture, and art nouveau. The tiles are decorative and may be hung framed or as they come.

Monsters Footprints

Beijing architects MAD have produced two massive footprints in Citizen’s Square. The Monster’s Footprints are made of pink rubber, which is sunken into the ground to create the impression.

Caitlin Kuhwald Illustration

Equipped with an MFA in painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Caitlin Kuhwald teaches illustration at the California College of Arts in San Francisco. As a freelancer, her work has landed on the pages of Rolling Stone and Oprah Magazine (among many others). She’s also fashioned hand drawn pieces for Puma and Pepsi. Kuhwald’s portrait illustrations engage a great deal of pop and cross cultural reference.
